Frequently Asked Questions

How do I wash my hustl. period pants?

Wash your hustl. underwear in the machine at 30-40° with similar colours where possible. Dry naturally, and avoid tumble drying or ironing.

Can I wear them without pads/tampons/cups—or as a backup?

Sure you can! Our underwear is designed to be leak-free, so you can wear them on their own. If your flow is really heavy, or you just want to feel double-safe, then sure you can combine with something else, but it’s not totally necessary. As an approximate guide, the Shorty will hold 45-60ml fluid, the Hipster 30-40ml, the Slip around 15ml and the Thong 5-10ml.

I’m between sizes. Should I size up or down?

The full measurements are shown in the product size guides, and we would recommend going with your usual, but if you’re really unsure, hustl. pants are made with some elastane so there is stretch. Go with the smaller size if you sit right in the middle.

Do you offer extended sizes or adaptive fits?

We’re constantly adding to our range, and broadening the range of sizes is right at the top of our to-do list. Sign up to get email updates and we will let you know as soon as they’re available.

Can they help with bladder leaks (stress or postpartum)?

Sure can! hustl. was also created with LAI (Light Adult Incontinence) in mind. These things are totally common, and ladies should still feel confident when they’re performing at any level. If you have heavy leaks, we’d recommend an incontinence-specific solution, but for light drips when you’re running for that meeting, or you’re through on goal? We’re here for it.

Do they work for clotting, irregular cycles, PCOS, or endometriosis?

The short answer is yes - regular period underwear can work well for clotting and for cycles affected by PCOS or endometriosis. The key is choosing the right absorbency and changing the absorbency or having a back-up for your heaviest hours.

What are your materials, and are they tested for safety (e.g. PFAS)?

Our underwear is a mix of synthetic and natural materials, with elastane / spandex and nylon for the main body, and then the gusset uses bamboo charcoal, nylon and a leakproof TPU layer. Our underwear has been tested by QIMA laboratories, and is certified to contain no PFAS, or other Persistent Organic Pollutants, nor does it contain any Carcinogenic, Mutagenic or Toxic for Reproduction (CMR) products, in line with Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 REACH, and Regulation (EU) No. 2019/1021 Persistent Organic Pollutants.

Are the gusset fabrics breathable and pH-friendly?

Bamboo charcoal is naturally hypoallergenic, breathable, anti-fungal and anti-odour. It naturally wicks away sweat and fluids, and will keep you feeling fresh and comfortable.

Do you have swim options for periods?

Not just yet, but we’re working hard behind the scenes to extend the range and swimwear is DEFINITELY on the list.

What about options for teens and / or first periods?

We see you smashing your goal and striving to be the best, and we know it can be a pain point for you to navigate putting yourself in the spotlight whilst still getting used to your cycle and your biology. We promise, we’re working on options for you too. Keep an eye on our update emails by signing up, and you can be the first to know.

What’s your shipping timeline and cost? Do you ship internationally?

At the moment, we ship in the UK only, via Royal Mail. Standard shipping is 3-5 working days, and express shipping is 24hr delivery. If you need an international shipment, let us know and let’s see what we can do for you.
